Thanks Bart, I doubt it has anything to do with sports, let alone olympics, because it has machine gun on it. Probably some african military ex british dominion(because of the crown)...

I managed to find it! Its a visor badge of russian road police.

Thanks Marcus, Russia was my first thought, but the guy who sold it to me said that he got it from a guy who used to work in far east. He said it was attached to a depleted blue hat which he threw out. Also the red in the middle is not really red but bordo. I couldnt find any russian federation badges with just a flag
