  1. Hi All, As a new collector i am very inexperienced at recognising genuine product as well as fair prices in this potentially confusing hobby! I'm close to buying the attached. I believe it's a Police Overseas Cap. The seller has quoted a price. Could anyone help me? Can you confirm it is indeed a Police Overseas Cap and if possible give me an idea of what it's likely to be valued at? Really appreciate any help. Cheers, Steve
  2. Hoping someone can shed some light on something for me. I've heard that one of the defences at The Berghof was a large carpet made out of artificial grass. When there was any intelligence of an air strike by the enemy this carpet was pulled over the Beghof to disguise it. On trying to research this, however, I can't find any evidence at all. Anybody out there ever heard of this before? thanks in advance for any help. Steve

    Badge help

Thanks for the reply, Bart. That would be a real shame. But at least you live and learn. Thanks again. Steve
  5. Some great responses and equally as great tips! I'm veeeery early into collecting as you can see . I've a tonne of documents but have started to veer towards other things now. I've started displaying my medals and badges in little presentation cases and then holding them in a German 1940s style evacuees case. Steve

    Badge help

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone could shed any light on this badge? I am aware of what New Order stood for but haven't s clue what the initials stand for. In case you can't make them out they are W-R-U-N-S. As a new collector i appreciate any help at all you can give. Thanks, Steve

    Newbie request

Hi All, Sorry to be predictable and boring! I'm new to collecting German WW2 memorabilia although I've been interested in the subject for a while longer. Im more interested in medals and documents but keen on filling my evacuees type suitcase with all sorts. I've bought Papers Please to help have a chance of gaining knowledge on some things but really am an amateur at collecting up to now. What advice would the more experienced collectors give me? I know to research before I buy but what the best resources to use to research? Could you also point me in the direction of solid ,reputable sources to buy from? I've seen a link with some dodgy ones which was very helpful. Any help at all is gratefully received. Cheers, Steve
