Kriegsmarine Admirals and their medal/ribbon bars.
  1. Thank you Pierce. I found info that the Grand Cross of the Order of the Roman Eagle could be awarded in 2 forms: Silver and Gold? So which one did Schuster recieve? If you know?
  2. I forgot, the last ribbon in the 1st row is: - Medaille zur Erinnerung an die Heimkehr des Memellandes
  3. Please help me ID the second row of this ribbon bar (Admiral Karlgeorg Schuster). 1st row: - 1914 EK II mit 1939 Spange - Ritterkreuz des Kgl. Preuß. Hausordens von Hohenzollern mit Schwertern - Lübeckisches Hanseatenkreuz - Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer - Wehrmacht-Dienstauszeichnung 1. Klasse - Wehrmacht-Dienstauszeichnung 3. Klasse - Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938 2nd row: - ??? - Königlich Bulgarischer Militärverdienstorden 1.Klasse (Großkreuz) - Königlich Rumänischer Orden Michael des Tapferen 3.Klasse - Königlich Rumänischer Orden Stern von Rumänien, Großkreuz - Königlich Rumänische Erinnerungsmedaille an den Kreuzzug gegen den Kommunismus - ??? - ??? - Kaiserlich Osmanischer Osmanje-Orden 4.Klasse
  4. Help with identifying Awards

I agree. What about the other things I wrote above?
  5. Help with identifying Awards

Ok, first I want to be sure you agree it's the Spanienkreuz on both the photos? If yes, for Klüber I think it is the Spanienkreuz in Silber mit Schwertern (by looking at it's colour, it seems quite bright, unlike the Spanienkreuz in Bronze). I could be wrong though. Kober's is for sure a Spanienkreuz because he was the Chief Engineer on the Cruiser ‘Nürnberg’. The quality of his photo is very bad but it looks like also Spanienkreuz in Silber mit Schwertern. The award below Klüber's EK I could be the High Seas Fleet Badge (he meets the criteria: "12 weeks service on a battleship or cruiser"- he was the Commandant of the Cruiser ‘Nürnberg’ (24 Nov 1938-07 Aug 1940)). The only mistery is the award below Kober's EK I, but the photo quality is really bad. His could also be the High Seas Fleet Badge, because although the award was instituted in April 1941, it could be awarded for actions that took place prior to this date. (i.e. his time as Chief Engineer on the Nürnberg).
  6. Help with identifying Awards

Thanks Pierce. But how sure are you about Klüber wearing the Minesweeper Badge? It is after all, covered by his hand.
  7. Help with identifying Awards

Sorry for the bad quality of the pics. Konteradmirals Otto Klüber (portrait) and Waldemar Kober (standing on the photo). They both recieved the Spanienkreuz, but I don't know the Class? Klüber perhaps the Spanienkreuz in Silber mit Schwertern? Kober also? Although he was the Chief Engineer on the Cruiser ‘Nürnberg’, so perhaps ohne Schwertern? Also, 2 unknown Awards below their Iron Crosses 1st Class? Klüber's is unfortunately covered by his hand... Thanks.
  8. Unknown Kriegsmarine Badge

Hello, what award is this? Thanks. The funeral pillow of Vizeadmiral Bernhard Rogge.
  9. Yes, I am sorry, it is Vizeadmiral Paul Wülfing von Ditten. He is a recipient of the Spanish Grand Cross of Naval Merit with White Decoration so it might be that?
  10. Please help me ID the awards of this Vizeadmiral. What I have so far: 1914 EK II Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer Südwestafrika Denkmünze China Denkmünze Preußisches Dienstauszeichnungskreuz Finn. Freiheitskreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern ??? Erinnerungsmedaille des "Finnischen Freiheitskrieges" 1918 mit Spange ??? It is possible the 2 unknown awards are foreign. Thanks.
