  1. Nope, it was found in Italy so the soldier changed the unit but kept the old dog tag as they usually did
  2. Yes. That's my same doubt. I think it's an "I" and not a slash because neither 51° battery or battalion existed in the nachrichten. Battalion doesn't match for nachrichten at all. Btw, Thank me for your interest. Instead, the infantry is on lexicon, as you linked
  3. Hi, I've found this EKM with my metal detector yesterday. It was bent like a sandwich. Unfortunately, While I was straightening, it broke. It's always tough to decipher a zinc erkennungsmarke because the writing usually are oxidated. If I read well, the abbreviations are 4/N. ER. BAT. MOT 51 all in Caps. Help me please!
