  1. Hi, Just added this nice piece to my collection. Worn on the uniform for Americans who volunteered to fight before it's official entrance in the war.
  2. Greetings all, Well as I was able to wrap up and complete my Kriegsmarine Zerstörer collection. I have decided to take on a new area of collecting. I am going to collect the ships and perhaps the units tallies that took part in the Battle of Jutland. A monumental task and a very difficult one I believe, however I believe that with enough time, luck and money, this too can be achieved. I have some tallies on the way. I am looking forward to sharing them with you all. SMS Friedrich der Grosse SMS Ostfriesland SMS Thueringen SMS Oldenburg SMS Posen SMS Nassau SMS Deutschland SMS Hannover SMS Schlesien SMS Muenchen It is interesting to point out that umlauts or the ß symbol were not used with imperial tallies, so if the word had an umlaut like München or say Großer Kurfürst it would be spelled fully out as Grosser Kurfuerst. I know many of you probably understand that however, there hasn't been an imperial Mützenband posting yet. So. I am leading the way on this forum. All the best, JustinG
  3. Greetings This just arrived in the mail. I know, nothing that exciting. But I feel this is a great example. I don't own many cockade wreaths. This one is a nice one IMHO. would love to hear other opinions. Best Regards, JustinG
  4. Greetings fellow forum members: I am very pleased to say that after an extensive search, I was able to acquire a Zerstörer Anton Schmitt tally thus completing the full named Destroyer fleet for the 2nd World War. This is a huge accomplishment. This was the last produced tally before the Germans stopped production and ordered the "Kriegsmarine" version to be worn instead. The ship was sunk in the first battle of Narvik. These are heavily coveted by German collectors as well as Norwegian collectors. I am very happy this tally will be soon on its way to Alaska. Best Regards, JustinG
  5. Greetings, It has been a little slow in this forum. I thought I would share, I am getting soon a nice medal. Fortunately, I have confirmed that it has made it through customs in Germany and is in the USPS hands in the states. This is one of the most attractive imperial medal. Mine is in a bronze Combatant finish. Unfortunately, mine doesn't have any ribbon with it. There were several clasps that could be with this medal. Here is a list. FOUPHING HOPHU HUOLU KALGAN KAUMI KITCHOU LIANG-HSIANG-HSIEN PEITANG-FORTS PEKING TAKU TIENTSIN TSKINGKWAN This list is from www.themedalhound.com a wonderful resource. Thanks and I look forward to showing you my specific medal soon. Regards, JustinG
  6. Greetings, Here are two more additions. I already have these but they were a pretty decent price. Couldn't pass them up. Thanks for looking. The pics are not mine, they were from the seller. I will take better shots when they arrive. Regards, JustinG
  7. Greetings, I wanted to share my latest acquisition. A nice pillowcase from the Panzerschiff Admiral Scheer. Hope you like it. I am curious to get in hand as the Third Reich flag has an imperial flag over it. Thanks for looking! Regards, JustinG
  8. So, I just managed to secure this beauty. A nice 112cm Mützenband. Very happy to have this on it's way to my collection. I will post better photos when it arrives. Best Regards, JustinG
  9. Greetings, So, I am thinking I am going to start rummaging through my collection and create a thread showing Mützenband, and 2-3 photo postcards of the ships. Thank you for checking this out. Best Regards, JustinG First Up: Torpedoboot Möwe
  10. Banner for HWMF.

I had fun creating this. Regards, JustinG
  11. I wanted to take an iconic image of a familiar scene and combine it with a death penny to create a tribute to the millions who fell during the Great War. Regards, JustinG
  12. Hi, I wanted to share my latest purchase. An unmarked attributed W&L brass core EK1. I hope you like it. This is my first brass core EK1. Very excited. Wanted to share and ensure that this cross passes muster. :) Best Regards, JustinG
  13. I created these and wanted to share with the forum. Regards, JustinG
  14. Hi, Well I got confirmation that I was able to purchase this. I think the eagle on these are the best produced. Let me know if there are any concerns. I think it is a fine example. The overexposed pictures can sometimes distort the badge. Thanks for looking. I will post pictures when item arrives. Best Regards, JustinG
  15. Hi, I am working on blending different photos. I had taken this shot while in Munich in 2010. I had remembered seeing the wartime photo of the Marienplatz. Thanks for looking. It was fun and time consuming. Best Regards, JustinG
  16. Hi, I have a new tablet and new software that I am just starting to appreciate. Something I just created. I hope the forum likes this. My HSF zinc badge and a photo postcard of ships in the harbor. Best Regards, JustinG
  17. Greetings, I am a novice artist and I thought I would submit my art of a former header for the Historical War Militaria Forum. Hope you enjoy. Regards, JustinG
  18. Hi, So I thought I would share my campaign shield display with the forum. Hope you like it. I know, I need to add a period Lappland and Lorient shield. Would be great to get a Metz 1944 and a Kurland cuff as well. Gotta make priorities though. I have to have some money left to afford rent and to eat. (I know, I know... where are my priorities? ) Regards, JustinG
  19. Picked up a nice Uboat Veteran pin. Got it off Ebay. Thought I would post for thumbs up or down. "Torpedo Los-The Facinating world of U-boat collectables" by Gordon Williamson on page 387 has a version of this pin. His example is worn around the eyes and the badge shown has more silvering intact unless there is a completely different metal used here. Thanks for looking. Regards, JustinG
  20. Greetings Gentlemen, I thought I would share how a couple of my EK2 and WMC2nd classes are stored. Thanks for looking. Best Regards, JustinG
  21. So, Since the KM forum has been quiet for a bit, I thought I would post some photos of my insignia collection. Thanks, JustinG
  22. Here are my three examples. Nothing mint but I like them just the same. Hope you do too. Berg and Nolte, Juncker, and Gustav Brehmer Regards, JustinG
  23. Greetings, I have recently acquired this piece and I am eager to share. The pin is removed and there are holes to help the soldier affix this to his tunic. I hope you like it. The skull is one of the fiercest. Probably this and the the Skull on the Antipartisan badge (TR era) are probably the coolest (appearance wise) IMO. Hope you like.
  24. Greetings, Well a month ago, I did not have a collection but thanks to making a few inquiries, I have amassed several fine pieces that are on their way to my collection in Alaska. I am indeed happy to add these to my collection. Regards, JustinG Köln, Königsberg, Nurnberg, Gneisenau, Admiral Scheer, Deutschland.
