Anyone knows what this soviet era uniform is please??
cincinnatus posted a topic in Russian Empire & Soviet Union
I bought this uniform from a holiday in Russia just after the fall of communism. I was wondering whether anyone can tell me what it is. Navy? Air force? etc. Thanks. -
I got this badge in a lot of items found via medal detector and I am curious if anyone has any details on the history of the piece. Thank you in advance for your input.

Help Autenticating US WWII Arial Gunner and Nav Badges
EcoEstate posted a topic in U.S. Orders, Awards & Decorations
Hi, I acquired these 3 WWII military badges a while back, and I thought that all three were authentic. Someone recently told me that all of these pieces that are authentic have raised lettering on the back, instead of engraved. And also that the pin back should only open about half way instead of flipping all the way back. My large Nav pin does have these characteristics. The gunner pin opens all the way, and also has engraved "sterling" on the back. My small nav pin only opens half way, but the sterling mark is also engraved. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks! From top to bottom: Photos 1&2 = Small Nav Photos 3&4 = Large Nav Photos 5&6 = Gunner -
Hi, Well I got confirmation that I was able to purchase this. I think the eagle on these are the best produced. Let me know if there are any concerns. I think it is a fine example. The overexposed pictures can sometimes distort the badge. Thanks for looking. I will post pictures when item arrives. Best Regards, JustinG

Hi all, Just thought I would share my observations on Mercian cap badges, the double headed eagle and crown badge used by the Mercian Brigade in the 1950s/1960s and now with the current Mercian Regiment. Here are my observations and I hope they are useless for ID purposes, http://worcestershires.weebly.com/2-mercian.html Please scroll down. Oli
