  1. I recently came across this photograph of a family member, whose original nationality is a hotly disputed case amidst us. I believe that - by identifying where he served through figuring out what uniform this is - we'd be able to more accurately pinpoint where he was truly from. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
  2. My grandfather served in the Occupation of Japan after WW2 in the late 1940s with the 25th Infantry Division, 35th Regiment. My family and I recently came across this ring, and I am having trouble identifying whether it is WW2 era or newer. It seems to have no markings besides the 25th insignia and two five petaled flowers that I can not identify on the front of the ring. Thank you to anyone that can assist me.
  3. Mystery Helmet

I have a helmet that I need expert opinions on to identify. It has no markings of any kind inside or out. There is no trace of insignia welded to the front. The liner is absent but there is a swivel bale with the remains of a leather strap. It is pretty rusty but still has some olive-grey green paint on the outside. There is no curve in the bottom, it sits flat on the rim. I was once told that it might be Swedish but I can find no helmet examples that look like it. I don't think it is Japanese but it does strongly resemble a Japanese helmet in some ways. Anybody have any ideas?
