Hello, I am considering purchasing a Kriegsmarine tunic and pants that I have found. I don't know much about the tunics and was wondering if I could get some opinions on if the tunic and pants appears to be authentic WW2 German era and if they go together correctly. Thanks for your help!

I am just sating some of my first observations:  I am only going on my limited knowledge of these items.

First thing, The The jumper might very well be KM, but it could also be Bundesmarine as well.  The Breast eagle appears to be a post war add on. Also, the Gefreiter and Feuerwerker insignia could also be similarly post war applied.  From one of the angles, they appear to be pretty far down the arm as well(almost at the elbow.  The pants, I can't help you.

These are just my observations.  I am not an expert or claim to be.  I am simply stating some red flags that I notice.  Wait for others who are more experienced to chime in.

Best Regards,

JustinG

Hello, pants could be ok, probably they are WW2 period, but IMO the blue shirt is not original, all insignias are added, in wrong places (eagle to high and sleeve career and rank too low), and the sleeve insignias are wrong together, the career insignia is for a junior NCO and the rank chevron for an enlisted man (Gefreiter), I would not buy them.
