Photo - Reichspräsident Paul von Hindenburg

Recommended Posts

An almost majestic pose of Hindenburg with view of his Grand Cross of the Iron Cross and Pour le Mérite with oakleaves.  No writing on reverse.

Although Hindenburg's cap has the traditional Imperial cockades, the officer behind him is wearing a Reichswehr cap with chin cord.  If I'm not mistaken, the regulation for chin cords was not introduced until 1927; meaning this photo was taken sometime during Hindenburg's presidency.

Any comments, corrections, or additional insight are welcome.
