Photos - M1917 Browning Machine Gun

Recommended Posts

Gentlemen,

I am starting a thread with photos of American soldiers with the M1917 Browning Machine Gun and will gradually add photos from my collection as I scan them.  I invite all of you to share any relevant photos from your collections as well.

Since the M1917 Browning was such a prolific machine gun that was used through WW1, WW2, Korea, and possibly even Vietnam, I welcome photos from all conflicts.  However, my collection pertains primarily to WW1 so I will be kicking it off with that.

Hope you enjoy!

Ben

Officers of Company M, 101st Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division on a firing range with a Browning MG.  This photo was taken in France during weapons proficiency training prior to heading to the front and entering combat.  This would have been late 1917 or early 1918.
