Swiss Service Tunic and Blanket (Possibly WW2)

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I know the Swiss were neutral in WW2, so I'm hoping this is the right place to post this. I was at a clothing thrift store that gets military surplus stuff from time to time. I check it out every once in a while to see if I can get lucky, and I ran across these two. The first is a blue service tunic. From what I can tell it is Swiss, although I'm not sure what branch or year exactly. The inside has the manufacturer label "PKZ" which seems to stand for Paul Kehl Zurich, and is a Swiss garment manufacturer. The buttons are marked "Huguenin" which seems to be a Swiss manufacturer of watches and other items. They are also marked "Le Lockle", which apparently is a municipality in Switzerland. The jacket came packaged with a blanket that seems to be Swiss Army issue. it has the Swiss cross, and is marked "JO HS 43". I'm not sure, but I'm assuming 43 is the year. I'm having a real hard time figuring out exactly what the uniform is. If anyone has information on either of these items it would be appreciated.

HERE'S MY ALBUM.   Thanks!!!
