The photo appears to me to be pre-WW1, perhaps 1895-1910?  The soldier in the center is wearing a Hussar uniform, which is that of a light cavalryman.  It's hard to determine with certainty if the other soldiers are hussars as well, but their sabers do suggest a role in a mounted unit.

I'm slowly expanding my photo collection and familiarizing myself with Austro-Hungarian uniforms of the WW1 era so I'm not an expert...but someday.  Do you have access to a flatbed scanner to capture more detail and resolution?  If we can identify some of the medals they're wearing it would help determine what wars/campaigns they participated in and possibly provide a date range for when this photo was taken.

Note: this post should be in the Austro-Hungarian Empire subforum

Thanks for sharing!
