Numbered GAB Value

Recommended Posts

I'd like to add a Juncker 100 GAB to my collection. Any opinions on value for  an early new mint to mint example. I haven't seen one for sale in awhile.

Thanks, Bruno

100 GAB are extremely rare as hens teeth. I am not even sure how many people would have qualified for this badge?   The number of engagements to have to survive would be an incredible feat.   My guess is that if you were to come across one, it would most likely be a fake.  I have never come across a genuine one.  So, I would guess a huge pricetag for an agreed authentic badge.

Here is the closest example I believe has a chance of being an original badge.

Hi JustinG

Thanks for the reply. I actually bought one since this post. It came from a guy that bought it from an American dealer that got it from the widow of an American officer. That's the story I was told. It wasn't a huge sum but for sure a price I wouldn't want to pay again. The link you posted was for a 100 PAB. I think you used the wrong link.

Yeah, I messed up.  I read GAB but somehow I got on PAB on the brain when I was researching.  Yes, the link was for the 100PAB.    I look forward to seeing your badge.  I would assume around $2500 or more for an award like this would be a range for a period badge.  Look forward to seeing it.

I agree with Bubba_Z. A JFS 75 GAB with about 60% of its gold wash left is selling for $5300 on WAF right now. Others with more gold wash are in the $8500 range from dealers. I would guess a genuine GAB 100 would be in the $10k+ range.

Hope you all like it. I'd say at least 20 times rarer than the JFS version.
