Military Intelligence lot

Recommended Posts

Guys,

Bought this as a lucky bag to sort through at home and it appears for what I paid to have been ok.

There is rather a lot of what I would guess are daily intel reports that some one has held on to for what ever reason.

The family are rather well off and own industrial plants to see the photo album. I have cherry picked a few of the more interesting bits.

If there is any interest I can scan it all but not right now.

Rich

This really is a pain in the arse to scan as they are longer than the normal A4.

Photos instead of scans as they are longer than A4.

Interesting is the hand written notes with sketch and then somehow the finished product, even back then?!

I am envious that you could just buy a grouping like this.  I appreciate the typed or telegraphed items as it is much easier to read/translate.   I have a hard enough time trying to decipher the cursive German that was so common.   Seems like they get pretty lazy with their letters and sort of slur them together.   Lots of fun things to look at and have fun seeing what you have all acquired.    Hopefully your understanding of German, especially handwritten is more advanced than mine.

Best Regards,

JustinG

Well the good thing with this group is you have it hand written then the finished product all typed up. there is too much of it and I feel I have posted enough of it as an example as scanning is a pain in the arse...

Just seen this, a fantastic lot and lucky find.

Funny I have just got another lot of WW1 stuff and was looking at it at work but it appears to be the complete deployment orders for a reserve unit to deploy, I have left it at work but will make a start with it next week.
