Recently found German patches

Recommended Posts

One of my great-great grandfathers served in WW1 in and we recently found an album of his that had some patches (or epaulet insignia) that he marked as German WW1 patches.  One patch is clearly from WW2 as it has a swastika on it.  Am hoping for a little help identifying them, particularly the WW2 patch.  I've done some basic searches online and haven't found anything.  The epaulet insignia seem to be unit designations.  There's also a ribbon that says it's for the Iron Cross.
