Thanks Jim my friend. I picked up a spoon in a trade and kinda caught the bug. I would like to add a warming tray to go with my silverware someday. As you know, the prices on AH silver has really gone through the roof these days!

Fredy, two of my pieces came from the large vet bring back that dealer Bill Shea offered for sale a few years ago and my other pieces came from collectors.

No I don't polish my pieces and the fake jug that you show should not fool any educated collector.

Erich/Fredy,

These are real histoircal items in my view. I would need to seek advice before buying anything like this as iI haven`t a clue about authenticity. However, the pieces you have shown are absolutely breathtaking in my opinion. If only thse pieces could talk!!

Thanks for sharing the photos. I am in awe!!!

Al;l the best

Jim

An update for Fredy and sorry for the poor photos. The tray is a 16" silver plated warming tray by Wellner and is serial numbered.

Thanks Fredy and I'll try and get a better pic. These serving pieces are getting harder to find and I love the tarnished look of this piece!

Great collection, Erich! My latest addition was the Informal Teaspoon; as you may recall, I only collect the Informal Pattern.

Congrats, my friend,

Br. James
