Helmet stolen at the Ciney Show

Recommended Posts

Attention Fellow members
Then it happened to me,this special M35 helmet with oversized decal was stolen from my table at the Ciney show Sunday, probaly long gone now,so nothing much to do about,But if anyone are offered or seeing this helmet for sale, please let me know, here is a few photos and a discription of the helmet:

very special Wehrmacht M35 helmet with oversized decal,no markings found in the shell,
maybe because of thick paint, but I figured out the shell is 62.
Shell has a small dent on top.
Dark liner, size 54 i guess ,has been treated with oil, linerring do have some damage, not broken, but bent.
Chinstrap not original to the helmet,a piece missing on the strap(8 holes left)and it has been broken and has a repair.

the Decal measure is:

4.7 CM high
and
4.1 CM wide

Thanks for looking
Cheers

Very sad and sorry to hear about your helmet Jørn, sh!t like that happens too often in Ciney !

Helmets, large Hitler bust, complete German medals and awards display, etc. gone in the blink of an eye.

Last year there was a very old, damaged and worn out van loaded with young men from Rumania (number-plate) waiting in the row to the gate next to our car ...... and they entrered the show in 3 and 4 together.

I have no proof that they did anything wrong, and I will not say that they did anything wrong, but they clearly didn't look like collectors.

In French, Flamish, English and German the warnings for pocket-picking were heard again already early in the morning, same story for every show in Ciney.

And it happens too often that people do run against others deliberately.

Best regards

Eric-Jan

Just keep getting the word out like you are. I am hesitant to ever buy a table at any show as it seems like this happens all the time. X(

Thanks for your respons to this thread.

Well I guess the helmet is long gone,I do not think it will be posted on any of the known Forums, and if you attend to get a table at any show,be sure to put everything behind glass or behind the tables,

where they cant reach,I for sure have learned my lesson.

Thanks for looking

Cheers
