Kriegsmarine men wearing Cap tallies.

Nice photo Larry.

 

First time i have seen one of these Kommandturen tallies in wear.

 

Others include,

 

Kommandantur  Borkum.

            "             Cuxhaven.

            "             Kiel.

            "             Norderney.

            "             Pillau.

            "             Schilling.

            "             Stralsund.

            "             Swinemunde.

            "             Wangeroog.

            "             Wesermunde.

            "             Wilhelmshaven.

Thanks guys, I didn't know the tally was uncommon to see in photos.

Thanks Martin for the extra information.

 

Here is a Reichsmarine portrait. He is wearing a Torpedobootshalbflottille cap tally.

Information from another source states that he was stationed on a TB of the II. Torpedobootsflottille comprising 3 & 4 Torpedobootshalbflottille.

Martin is right.

 

Those Kommandaturen tallies are really rare ones, the tally itself - but much more rare in wear on photos.

I have a nice portrait with Schulschiff Deutschland cap tally and NSRL Watersport Badge in wear portrait coming in the mail.

I will post it here when it arrives.

I have been informed that Schulschiff Deutschland was a training vessel for the German Merchant Navy so he is not wearing a Kreigsmarine tally.
