Ribbon bar thread

Recommended Posts

That´s a great one, Steve

I always like the combination of 57er and BRD. Indeed the Schleswig-Holstein flood medal is not that common.

Good catch.

To bring some life in here ........ here´s my RK bar from Georg Pinkepank (my Avatar).

You all saw the tunic with the awards,  but most of you never saw his ribbon bar, worn at his daily service in the BW.

So here again the tunic with the awards and finally his bar

And another named bar from DKiG winner Ernst Jürgen Freiherr von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen.

He too was the recipient of the Johanniter order, very hard to find on a bar and as named one. As special a shot from the whole grouping

Many thanks, my friends.

Yes Steve, the Johanniter cross is in my collection. That´s a piece i am very proud of as these are really hard to get. It´s most likely a S&L piece, made in the 50s. I got that information in a german forum.

Here´s the piece, sadly no better pics. Will take new ones later....

Here´s the evidence that he still was a Johanniter

Rudiger, that is a fabulous cross, please post a thread just on the Johanniter cross alone............... oustanding !

I have a soft spot for the period 1957 neck awards............I need to find a example of a Johanniter cross, along with an Olympic first class neck award.

Prost ! Steve.

Sure, will do that when i took better pics.

These "white PLM´s" are great pieces but sadly very hard to find. In the regulations of the Johanniters it´s decribed that the cross has to be given back after the death of the recipient. So named ones are very hard to come by.
