Ribbon bar thread

Recommended Posts

With a big big big thanks to my friend Rudy

Here´s a great and for me scarce combination of awards ....... Hilfskreuzer and u-boat, in combination with the spanish medal even more great.

Looking at the awards it´s most likely an officer or at least someone in the older sergeant range ( minimum botswain ) with at leat 12 years serving time. IMO he first served at the Hilfskreuzer and switched later to the u-boats.A lucky guy that never got wounded and survived the war although serving on u-boats that had a very very high death rate.

A fantastic bar, truly scarce and really honest.

Thanks Rudy !!!!

It is long time ago that I have seen such a nice Marine ribbon bar on a forum!

I do remember this ribbon bar very well, also the twin bar.

The combination is indeed more than interesting, and for sure very rare an unusual.

Everything fits perfect and I am sure that this man was in the Bundesmarine for some years.

Congrates Rüdiger!
