Here is the last I bought.

Pretty rare piece, in great condition.

I am trying to collect them all, so I'll post the entire collection when I get many nice items which are still in USA.

Whoever wants to collect them all, must count on around 350-400 different pieces ;-).

Amiklic1:

Hello my friend! Thank you for sharing your rare trade insignia with the Forum.

Best regards,

John

Morten and Eduardo,

Friends thank you for showing us your Kriegsmarine Trade-insignia and Eagles (Eduardo).

I noticed some really rare examples.

One can go on for many years collecting such insignias and all the variants.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Best regards

Eric-Jan

With "V" for Administrative career and with "M" for Material Administration career, both used until 1935 only, that is why they are very rare

We just have to be patient.

Few months ago I was stubborn and wanted to get a "V" obermaat metal piece.

My highest bid was 410 eur, but someone was more crazy and gave 430.

Maybe one month after that I have offered 150 to another guy and he sold it to me for that much.

Time is on my side, as I plan to collect in decades in front of me, so...

These two were great opportunity if one wants to collect all KM patches, because we know how rare that is.

My collection is almost done, but I am still missing these and some other, less rare ones.

However, I was out of funds so couldn't get them.

Here is my reference list, with groups of insignia.

Top group is blue career, below it is white career and below that a metal career.

Than at the bottom, two groops of specialty ones,

blue and white ones in separate groups.

Today it's more green than on this picture, and I have some more rare ones.

Recently I have won only metal device of theone shown bellow, also, and I have just mounted it to a piece of blue wool cloth for a display.

It just looks much better with it.

It's the one for a telephone mechanic, established on 1st of July 1938.

Overall number of the patches shown one can collect is 362.

A lifetime experience and a great fun, for sure.

And here is a special piece I got off eBay some months ago.

A framed grouping of non-regulation made metal insignia.

The quality is very nice, and it has some of the rarest pieces we can find ever.

Every piece has a metal brass plate under it, with the name of the career.

I guess it was a kind of a sample board or was maybe hanging in some workshop,

whatever.

I just love it.

Andjelo,

That 150 Euros do sound much better, great deal and catch for such a rare badge.

I can clearly understand why you like that frame and what is in it.

Thanks for the information and for showing.

Best regards

hello all,

Huh, I wouldn't say there is a single place on Internet where you can learn everything. After years of studying,

holes in my knowledge about them are still way bigger than I'd like them to be.

However, even if the system of kriegsmarine ranks, trades and specialties is more complex than of any of the two other branches,

especiall when we look at the entire period from 1933 till' 1945, with a bit of sense one can arrange most important details in hi head.

If they are expensive or not, I wouldn't discuss, as if you're rady to spend time on ebay, Internet and many forums you can get some real bargains from time to time.

For me, sometimes time spent on Internet is more expensive than working my job and paying a full price, so it all depend of what you do for living and how much time you

have free for the hobby.

Even if it's in a no way complete reference, this book is, I think, a beginner's help up to certain level of knowledge:

http://www.amazon.com/COLLECTORS-GUIDE-TO-THE-KRIEGSMARINE/dp/0711030995

For more details, you'll need Angolia's Kriegsmarine books, and there are many pages where you can get help, like:

http://www.kbismarck.com/ranks.html

thanks Amiklic1 for your reply!

when I ask for the prices I meant if they are very scarce for example? That would explain why their price its higher compared with other insignia of the wehrmacht.

cordial Greetings

Humberto
