I'll post this here as I think it is BW or Austrian mom gave it to me about 15 years ago and I have no idea where it came from hope some of you post war collectors can tell me about it as I don't collect BW or DDR.  timothy

Timothy.....Bundeswehr ! a nice post 1970 Mountain troopers Ski blouse, worn only by the Gebirgstruppen since the mid 1950's, it was the only piece of service uniform in the Bundeswehr that had shoulder straps WITH OUT coloured piping (waffenfarbe) its green collar patches denote Infantry/panzer grenadiers..........There will be a label on the inside of one of the inside pockets....that will give makers name and date made.

Thank you much Steve would be a collectible one I think I did find a tag in the pocket as you said it says Schwarz Passau 6-74 will try to photo it when I can   timothy

Also forgot to ask what other insignia could go on this did  BW wear a edelweiss flower?  or any type of badge need to find a BW belt buckle and M-43 style had and would have a nice post war uniform.  timothy

Timothy, your tunic was made in June 1974......This should give some idea of the type of insignia you could  attach..................indeed a Divisional/Brigade edelweiss badge was worn on upper left arm, I show such an example........
