Marine=Luftschiff=Abteilung Mützenband

So, I just managed to secure this beauty. A nice 112cm Mützenband.

Very happy to have this on it's way to my collection.

I will post better photos when it arrives.

Best Regards,

JustinG

Thanks for the comment.  I agree, these are rather scarce as there is a whole other collecting group that collect zeppelin and air travel memorabilia.  I am happy to have it in my collection.  :thumbup:

Very nice items.  I have not yet succumbed to the temptation to collect Kaiserliche Marine insignia.

I do have some photos of these in wear that I will have to dig out and scan.  Below is a woman wearing the uniform of an Obermaschinistenmaat with the same Mützenband:

The letters are a bit blurry as I think she was moving her head during the exposure.

Best regards,
Ben

That's a great cap tally JustinG.  Now you just need a Luftschiff document group to go with it!  :-)

I'm hoping to add a couple of nice buttons or perhaps shoulder boards etc..  Unfortunately, I can't find them when I have the funds and permission to purchase from the wife.  Have to work on better timing.  Nice patches you shared.

JustinG

I was going to delete this previous post but I am unable.  The boards above are not period boards.  Originals have a continuous L shape and overstitching as it crosses the main leg.

Thanks,

JustinG
