Pair of photos, MC winner and unknown presentation/parade

Recommended Posts

Picked up recently, must be early post WWI as the MC winner has his trio up, though two of the officers are still wearing cuffrank tunics so it must be early post war, pre 1921 I think as that is when I think cuffrank was phased out.

Not sure who the group including the children are, as I don't recognise the uniform or cap badge they are wearing.

Two of the officers are Arty )those at either end in the straight on group photo), then going from left to right, first one is Leicesters, one is Dorsets or Essex perhaps, the other is Welsh Guards, I think.

Following further research and some help from others it seems that the school boys are;

The CCF that wore a Leicestershire Regt 'style' badge was Oakham School, Rutland. The lower scroll bore the school's name OTC, and the upper scroll a curved wreath of laurel. It can be seen in K&K Vol 2, as image number 2637. I believe that the photos shows an Oakham School CCF summer camp between the wars.
