Presentation box Kapitänleutnant Hartwig Looks ( KM DKiG recipient )

Recommended Posts

Finally some time to post more recent buys. Purchased on a Belgian auction site, from a Dutch collector whom bought it at a German flea market.

A lovely wooden presentation box, with some insignia belonging to Kapitänleutnant Hartwig Looks ( Commander of U-264 ).

There is plenty information on the U-264 and its commander, I won't elaborate too much on that here.

Here are the snapshots of this small lot ...

Small but lovely acquisition, Mathijs especially from the U-Boot personnel which is always sought after. Thanks for sharing with us.

I have to say that this small group is only "small" in the numbers of full size awards. But the history behind this grouping is really large.

A fantastic grouping with his ribbon bar, dog tag and the seagoing badge in silver. Normally you find the bronze seagoing badges in groupings so this one is special, especially as it is the very early embroidered version and in fantastic condition.

A group that would have made me nervous and envious in my earlier days  :w00t:

Congrats on that one, Mathijs ...... u-boat groupings, especially from commanders are very hard to come by
