  1. I premise that I am an Iron Cross collector of all times. Now I am living near Brenner pass where a lot of German unit surrendered in the last days of WWII. I have this Knight's Cross since more than 30 years but I always ask to myself if it could be a real piece or a fake. It seems thi award belonged to a Luftwaffe General. The suspension loop is not original, and is very strange the mark "800" on ring even some manufacturer (Zimmermann) placed silver content on ring. Now, I hope someone will help me.
