My collection WWII

Recommended Posts

The collection I worked on a few years ago consists mostly of German and Norwegian awards from WWII.

Some shiny steel and various uniforms effects were also accommodate.

Coming eventually to publish photos from my collection and would greatly appreciate any feedback or questions about you detect objects that can be copies (hate copies).

Just to start, a little taste

Regards from Jørn

Glad to see more of you, Jorn. Posting the awards in the appropriate sections will give you more Feedback. For the Order of the German Eagle, you can read this one plus he is the top specialist in that area: http://www.historicalwarmilitariaforum.com/topic/8479-info-german-eagle-order-regulations/. The Luftwaffe Portrait of the RKT+EL (can't remember his name now) is a copy and not authentic (wartime).

Nice collection you have there.

The bomber gold clasp is a rare meybauer, The transport and the fighter clasps in bronze are both Juncker very nice and I can't say which maker for the recon but it look OK. The Glider is a ball hinge variant but missing the hinge/pin and catch. The J3 JMME ROAG, J3 Pilot and J2 Observer are very nice as well as the J3 COAG. The GWL flak is wonderful. Looking for such an example.

On the para badge, it is a fake IMO. The LWGAB, i like what I see and there is very very good fake on these but yours look fine to me.

Thank you for the great information Sebastian

Please explain regarding the Para Badge. I do not understand what the abbreviation means (IMO).

The award was purchased on WAF forum and was accepted there and on GCA forum as original, but they've been giving wrong feedback earlier also. I also think to remember they pointed out that it was a very early release :cursing:

Is it just a part of the award that is fake ?

Hey Jorn,

I am very surprise you bought this on WAF as it is a Staegemier fake. This one must have get trought the net...The detail on the eagle is too prononce and the reverse show castin and it dosent have the 4 circles and many little things are wrong like edges, molding lines etc..... I am not surprise you had a wrong opinion on GCA but very surprise that you actually received thumbs up on WAF as this badge have been discussed here:

http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=634806&highlight=para+L%2F64

They can't be early release as the A L/64 mark came very late in the war.

P.S. IMO mean In my opinion.

Hi Sebastian,

I have been looking for the thread I was refering too, but did not find it. But I did find the sellers username (Prodigy) on both WAF and GCA, but not his old sales ad. Hi has not been active for the last year, so not sure if I should try to contact him ?  The only feedback I did find was on the norwegian forum Samlerforumet.net:

Not often you see these late produced LW marks .These "frames" are made by injection molding and are rellativt rare.
2 figure is possibly one part number.
Fun 2 see .. Congratulations

But thank you for the link to the WAF thread.  The badge is now hereby sadly removed from my collection :pinch: .

Regards Jørn

The comments fit these original late war badges. They are hard to find and very well fake like the one you posted. Hope you can get your money back. Sorry for the bad news, I know what it is Ive been caught few times as well.

Cheers
